studio 1.2.3 problems

Oliver Charlet
Hi there,

thanks a lot for the new BETA, I am really thrilled by the XForms NG. It
now feels much more like it should now. Great!

I also updated the studio to 1.2.3 but it seems to be buggy. After the
update I neither find the orbeon Perspective in the
select window/ nor the orbeon editors in the
Preferences/Workbench/FileAssociations editor selection.

I also noticed after playing around with the 1.2.2 / 1.2.3 feature and
plugin files, swapping them back and forth, that after
I removed the files once for either one of the version, I can never
reinstall the plugin again by just replacing the files in the
eclipse feature and plugin directories. Even for 1.2.2, that works ok
after a "normal" installation using the eclipse updater,
the perspective and editor entries are not showing up, once I remove the
files and put them back into the eclipse dirs.
I am not sure, if this is normal behaviour, but it is a fact, that the
1.2.3 is not running on my eclipse installation.

I am using eclipse 3.0.2 (build 200503110845) on Mac OS X 10.4.2. Any
help is very much appreciated.

Thanks
:olli

The 1.2.3.* version requires Eclipse 3.1.0 or greater.  In fact
Eclipse update mechanism should have warned you during the install.

In reply to this post by dsmall-2
hmm. when I try to download studio 1.2.3 with eclipse 3.1.0, I get an error, because the only studio version found at the orbeon website is 1.2.2, which is of course not compatible. Am I the only one, who has that problem?
