how to configure and load a document into external eXist database

gowda
Hi
I am a newcomer to OPS and I have a standalone installation of eXist (downloaded from the eXist site). Now I would like to have an XForm from where I can access the REST interface and use XPL to save a document in the eXist database for a start.
I hear that there is an embedded eXist database in OPS. However I would like to use my standalone version.
Is there any example in the OPS sample code base that would help me how to carry out this operation from my XForm.

many thanks
Gowda

there's an example in the tutorial:

http://www.orbeon.com/ops/doc/intro-tutorial#bookcast-save-button

If you want to use it from inside a xpl pipeline:

As mentioned, make sure you went through the tutorial:

   http://www.orbeon.com/ops/doc/intro-tutorial

If you want to access your own version of eXist, you just have to
change the xforms:submission action URLs to point to the location of
your database.
