building dynamic XForms

Don Smith-9
I've read through the Orbeon User Guide Tutorial and
looked at the example XForms. I have a question about
building dynamic XForms.

By "dynamic" I mean something like this: at some point
in the form there is a choice between three options:
A, B, and C. If the user chooses A, fields 1 and 2
appear in the form. If the user chooses B, fields 3
and 4 appear in the form. If C, fields 5 and 6 appear.

My question is: does XForms natively provide for such
dynamic choice functionality, or does it have to be
handled through multiple pages in the Orbeon page
flow?

Thanks,

Don

Don,

There is no problem doing that kind of things with XForms. You can use
xforms:switch or relevance to achieve this. In general, this is easier
to develop and more user-friendly than using multiple, separate pages.
