Orbeon on Tomcat 7

Has anyone gotten Orbeon to run on Tomcat 7? I'm looking at Orbeon for a project, but need it to run on Tomcat 7 as that is where it will run. I have tried deploying on Tomcat 7 but all I get is the error message "The requested resource (/orbeonCE/) is not available."

I tried the same as you did. But it didn't work with orbeonCE. The last release of tomcat, which is working in my opinion is the tomcat 6.0.29. But maybe it is because I am using tomcat on a mac.

What do the tomcat logs tell? Usually they contain a stack trace or
something like that if tomcats fails on trying to deploy the app.

No errors reported, that is why I'm puzzled.

I have it working in Tomcat 6.0.29. I'm sticking to Tomcat 6 for now.

Gary,

I am getting the same result here. Tomcat 7 doesn't seem to like URLs
that end with a /, and returns 404 right away for those URLs.

So you can't access: http://localhost:8080/orbeon/home/
But you can access: http://localhost:8080/orbeon/fr/orbeon/bookshelf/summary

For now I would stick with Tomcat 6 as Tomcat 7 is still in beta.

I can confirm that it works just fine. I have Orbeon Forms 3.9.0.201105152053 PE running on a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 with Tomcat 7.0.21 from the Ubuntu repositories installed. I haven't found any problems or issues with this configuration. Form Builder works great, as does my very large form which contains over 300 fields.
