FormB & FormR Automatic Query Stopped Working

Orbeon,
1. When I went from an Oct 07 08 Nightly Build to the Jan 14 09 Nightly Build the automatic query buildt into Form Builder and Form Runner quit working. Is there a way to turn it on and off somewhere in one of the conf files or some other solution? There is considerable difference inthe properties-form-runner files.

2. Also, the "Download" control in the latest Nightly Build in Form Builder works for MS Office documents on Windows when you view the Xform in "Print" or "PDF" but not on Mac OSX. The information written to the eXist DB xml on Windows is of the form:
<control-73 filename="Information.docx" mediatype="application/vnd.
But on the Mac it has  something lik <control-73 filename="Information.doc" mediatype="application...) then it has the entire binary (it looks like) put into the eXist xml file. I use Office for Mac 2008. Any ideas?

Which feature are you referring to exactly by "automatic query"?

Mmh, I understand Print, but what do you expect with PDF?
I don't reproduce this with a recent build. Using Firefox 3.1 on OS X.  
I can upload and download attachments. Can you try with a more recent  
build?

I don't reproduce this with a recent build. Using Firefox 3.1 on OS X.  
I can upload and download attachments. Can you try with a more recent  
build?

1. When you go to the Home Form Builder Page that list all your forms, there is a auto search area to search on "Form Name" "Application Name", etc.... As you type, the list changes to match what you have typed (the AJAX kicks in and eliminates the NON matches) . This is the search that quit working. I thought maybe I was missing something in the conf files (e.g. like properties-form-runner") that tells the system to turn on the search. It is nice to have this working. I am using FireFox 2.0.0.1.3 on Windows.

2. On the Mac I am running Leopard. When I view the form, say, with "Print" (you are right PDF view doesn't let you "Download" even though you can see the "Download" word or link (in Windows)) the "Download" word with a hot link is visible and works on Windows but it does not even appear with my Mac set up. On the Mac I am running the most the recent version of FireFox (Just updated lately). Office 2008 for Mac uses .docx (I think as default). Do you think the file type is causing the problem and I should use .doc? As said, when I look in the eXist DB on the Mac under the app name the entire binary is put in the data.xml file. Whereas on Windows it only has what looks like a link of some type put in by Form Builder that looks something like this:

Ah I get it, thanks. We removed this on purpose, because even though  
this is nice, it was putting quite a lot of load on the server, and  
confusing some users. We think that in any case, the summary page  
search should probably be redesigned to be more user-friendly...
I see. We will have to reproduce this issue. We also use OS X Leopard  
and Firefox most of the time, so that shouldn't be too hard. Could you  
send by email an example of Office file which fails?

1. I was using that search feature (which I thought was like falling off a log) to impress our folks. Be nice to have the conf option to turn it on especially if you have say 32G of RAM.

2. I will try to work up an example of the Mac problem. Or better yet maybe I will fix it since you don't have the problem.
    - One thing I am doing on the Mac (and Windows also) is running Orbeon Form Builder on one Tomcat container (port:1999 say) but I am storing the Orbeon data into another instance of eXist running on a different  port. (say port:8080) Could this cause a problem? I have a good reason for doing this and am very happy about the ability to "point" Form Builder to any network eXist instance.

3.Another question that came up today that you might help us with. I am looking to use Orbeon Form Builder XForms to create xml metadata about documents, then attach the documents using the "Attachment" control and storing ALL the xml metadata and Office documents into the same instance of the eXist DB. In our environment we use Network Attached Storage (NAS) for storage. Do you know if eXist supports NAS? Just thought some of your users may use Orbeon Form Builder and eXist in a NAS environment.
