Current OPS release -- differences between IE and firefox; and differences between previous versions

Stephen Bayliss

I’m looking at the live version of OPS on www.orbeon.com/ops

Previously there use to be a “Loading…” message and icon while things were happening (eg flipping between tabs on the Controls example) – this doesn’t seem to be present any more, on IE or Firefox.  Is it supposed to be there?

Also, I find that the Controls example works fine on Firefox, but on IE I am getting Javascript errors, and in fact I can’t display the Selection controls or Range tabs at all.  Anyone else experiencing problems with IE?

Steve

Steve,

I don’t have any problems in either browser, have you tried clearing the cache it may be IE keeping older JS files. The loading icon now a property in /config/properties.xml which by default is set to false, so that’s why you don’t see it anymore

Not anymore, but you can re-enable that in properties.xml. For
longer-running operations, we would like something better:

I just went there with IE, and had no problem.
