anyone had any luck getting orbeon 3.7.1 running on tomcat6 installed server wide on an ubuntu 8.10 using sun jdk1.5?
i've jumped thru a few hoops as suggested in various forums (security settings, more jvm memory, etc.) but no luck thus far.
no issues deploying/running other wars, and orbeon runs fine on similar windows setup. perhaps tomcat5.5 would be a better starting point? any thoughts or experiences appreciated.

Hi George,
Have you tried disabling the Tomcat security manager? In /etc/init.d/tomcat6 set SECURITY_MANAGER="no" Or such - I haven't got my ubuntu handy at the moment. Good luck, Tom

And having read your post a little more carefully - yes I would try Tomcat5.5...
Best, Tom
