xxforms:set-session-attribute doesn't work in FR 3.9

Maria Belkina
Hi all!
We've been using Orbeon Forms 3.8 for one year(mainly Form Builder and Form Runner). In our forms we've been setting session attributes for the rest of our application. So that's why we've had lots of read-only fields with "Initial value" set to, say, "xxforms:set-session-attribute('q','lmn')" and it worked just like a charm.
But the version 3.9 wan't let us do such things. I've set up a sample form in the demo Form Builder on the orbeon.com site, as you can see, it gives us an exception: http://orbeon.com/orbeon/fr/w/w/new (you can see this form with the name 'w' and the application name 'w' in the form builder at http://orbeon.com/orbeon/fr/) .
That means, we can't even set a plain string literal as a session attribute(
Is it possible to solve this issue?
Best regards,
Maria Belkina

Maria,

Sorry about the delay. Is the error you see the same as I see when
clicking your link, that is "Casting from item() to xs:string can
never succeed"?

Erik, do you have any clues on how to deal with this issue?

Maria,

Sorry about the delay: I have added this to my list of issues to look
at but I haven't yet had time to look at it.
