xforms:select label disappers

Hi all,

I have attached a test page that hides/shows a textarea based on
selection from a select1. When the select1 is false the labels are
disapperaing. Is this a bug??

what version of Orbeon Forms / OPS are you using? A bug like this was fixed not too long ago. Have you tried a nightly build?

My OPS version is probably 2 or 3 weeks old. I tested this file in the XForms sandbox on the OPS site and it doesn't work properly there either.

the sandbox on the website is updated intermittently. I suggest you
download a nightly build and try it out:

I don't think xforms:group takes a label. See here:

I would allways use a Form Control when displaying or collecting data:

The link you provided states

"The optional label element has special significance when it appears as the
first element child of group, representing a label for the entire group."

In Orbeon Forms, xforms:groups with an xforms:label are shown as a
xhtml:fieldset which keeps the display tidy.

It is correct that groups can have a label.

In the latest builds of Orbeon Forms, you get this effect with:

<xforms:group appearance="xxforms:fieldset">

This used to be automatic (i.e. would happen without the @appearance
attribute), but we thought that an explicit appearance was better design.

I reproduced this with a recent build and committed a fix.

Note that in order to get the fieldset, you now need to use
appearance="xxforms:fieldset" on xforms:group.
