Putting xforms:help within xforms:itemset is not supported at the
moment: the bug was about xforms:help directly within xforms:select or
xforms:select1 not appearing at all.
The difference is whether you want help for a given item vs. help for
the whole series of items. I agree help on individual items should be
supported, especially in the case of appearance="full". I entered an
RFE for this:
