use of fieldsets to group controls in two columns

ilango_g
Hi
I would like to arrange data in two columns. I tried to group some controls of related data, two dropdowns using "select1" and 10 other input controls and a couple of text areas. I would however like to keep the textarea boxes separately as two normal rows in a single column as usual

How do I recommend I do the CSS for this. Or this any other

The code is as follows:

<xforms:group appearance="full" background="#999999">
      <br/>

      <xhtml:fieldset>
      <xforms:legend>My Report</xforms:legend>

      <xhtml:div class="My_Report">

      <xforms:select1 ref="instance('taskinput')/fe:A_Type" selection="closed">
      <xforms:label class="all-label">A Type:</xforms:label>
      <xforms:item>
                <xforms:label>A</xforms:label>
                <xforms:value>A</xforms:value>
            </xforms:item>
            <xforms:item>
                <xforms:label>W</xforms:label>
                <xforms:value>W</xforms:value>
