usage of load-initial-form-data

Hi All,

I want to load data in my form while it get initialized.
I got some knowledge on reading the following URL,

I have an doubt regarding this event, will this initialization will happen only for the first time the page loads or each time when it loads.

I will explain with a scenario:
I am loading the form for the first time and the page loads the initial data, now I am making some changes to that data loaded and saving the form.  Now, for the second time I am loading the form, this time the form will open with the saved data or with the data given by the service.
