trying to use orbeon from a seperate web application

Hi,

Been lurking for a while, just getting started on a new xforms project
and evaluating the capabilities of Orbeon.

Is it possible to use orbeon to serve up xforms forms from another web
application? ie. Web app App1 would make a request to the orbeon
server for a particular jsp page which would then return html and
javascript which App1 would then display to the user?

When I attempt to do this, I get the following error:

'XForms error: Unable to retrieve XForms engine state from session cache.'

Hi Mark,

Currently, we recommend you setup Orbeon Forms as filter to do this.
You can find more about this approach in the documentation at the page
linked below. There are also a couple of JSP-based examples shipping
with Orbeon Forms that you might want to have a look at.

Also, we are working on an alternative method that enables you to
deploy your web application separately from Orbeon Forms.
