Hi,
I just noticed a comment in the future Orbeon Forms 3.9 release a comment on state handling:
•Faster XForms page state handling.
◦The state is now stored using EHcache. This is faster and consumes less memory than the Orbeon Forms 3.8 cache.
Does this imply that eXist is no longer going to be used for state handling in Orbeon Forms. In fact, does this mean that the core of Orbeon Forms will not be dependent on eXist going forward?
The reason I ask is that I am encountering numerous problems with the embedded eXist db and log files growing uncontrollably when loading resources and I am trying to assess if it warrants immediate investigation or is a problem that may just go away under OF 3.9.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Neil
