Can you access those user roles from XForms?

If so, you could use the XForms engine preprocessing step, configured
with these properties:

<property as="xs:boolean" name="oxf.epilogue.xforms.preprocessing"
value="false"/>
<property as="xs:anyURI"
name="oxf.epilogue.xforms.preprocessing.uri"
value=""/>

You must specify the URL of an XPL file, which can then preprocess
your page and add the navigation.

If that navigation contains XForms, that will be interpreted by the
XForms engine too.
