Hi,

I believe this is because the DTD and entities get loaded based on
the DOCTYPE definition.

I have changed my doctype to:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

and placed in the resources directory the xhtml1-strict.dtd, xhtml-lat1.ent,
xhtml-special.ent and xhtml-symbol.ent which I was able to GET from the
W3C site (when it was up!).

The usual doctype looks like this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

Regards,
Hank
