session id question

Frank
Hi All,

I have a web page that via the epilogue.xpl invokes the request generator.

I would like a sessionid to be generated as I hit the webpage, but am finding that
i need to hit the web page twice for the request generator to generate a request/requested-session-id
element.

Can someone please tell me if this is expected behaviour or is there something I am missing?

Cheers,
Franco

Re: session id question

Franco,

The request generator just calls the servlet API to obtain this
information, and in this case calls request.getRequestedSessionId().
If you don't have an incoming session id, it makes sense that this is
empty. Once the client receives a session cookie and sends back a
request with the session id, then the id is available.
