replace="instance" instance=(replace-instance')/data1 possible

ilango_g
I can do an xforms:submission using replace="instance" and instance="(replace-instance').
Now I have many dropdowns and I have one single instance for all these dropdown values..
Can I avoid having a different instance for each dropdown and so can I have that single instance in my submission saying

instance='replace-instance'/data1

where data holds the dropdown values for a certain set of values.

Re: re place="instance" instance=(replace-instance')/data1 possible

In theory yes, the xforms:submission/@target is meant to do that,
however we only support it for replace="text" at the moment.

As a workaround, you can store the result in a first instance, then
upon xforms-submit-done copy that over to another instance with
xforms:insert.
