petstore example

Hello,
I have been looking at the example applications. I notice that the
petstore does not work. Would it be possible for
you to fix it without too much effort?

I am even surprised the Pet Store example is still there ;-) I think it
has been broken for a very long time.

It may be possible to fix it up to make it work again relatively easily,
but I think that this effort would be wasted. What you would really want
is bring this example in line with the latest possibilities allowed by
XForms, eXist, and the best practices of OPS in general, and I think
that this would require a reasonably substantial effort (probably at
least 1-2 days).

Our flagship example is currently the DMV Forms example, which we are
regularly improving, so we have been concentrating on that because what
we really want to do is highlight the forms capabilities of the
platform. And we have more coming up :-)

But it would be great if there were volunteers to improve older
examples, or build new ones.

Hi Erik,
Yes I have been looking at the DMV example and it is impressive. I was interested to see how you would put
together a shopping type web site and the petstore would have seemed like a good candidate for some techniques.
If I get the time It would probably be a good exercise for me to have a go at fixing it - just for fun.
