output to PDF

stevecampbell130
Hi all, I'm a newb.  I saw the demo video and liked the fact that Orbeon
outputs to PDF.  Now that I have gotten Apache and Orbeon installed and ready
to go, I can't figure out the last step.  Are there any tutorials on how to
output to PDF? Where can I find more info?

Thanks,
Steve

Re: output to PDF

There are 2 ways to produce PDFs with OF:

1) using XSL-FO:

http://www.orbeon.com/ops/doc/processors-converters#d108e604

2) by combining a PDF template with data, using pdf-processor (no
official documentation for this AFAIK):

http://www.nabble.com/forum/Search.jtp?forum=2537&local=y&query=pdf+processor

There is an example of the 2nd approach in the Orbeon Forms Apps
section of the orbeon site that you can analyze and see how it works:

In fact there is another way:

3) Using XHTML + CSS with the oxf:xhtml-to-pdf processor.

#2 and #3 are both used by Form Runner.
