orbeon or xform designer

Suganda
hello all,

i just want to ask,

is there any tools or whatever that can design x-forms using template or pallete
something like macromedia dreamweaver or others designer that can drag and drop text box . check box , radio button , text field , etc in the x-forms format ?
because currently to design with code is really time-effort and quite hard
so it would be nice if there are some designer tools available

thanks
suganda:)

Suganda,

We agree with your assessment: writing XForms by hand is very powerful,
but it is also a lot of work.

In our opinion, there are not many sufficiently good (and/or affordable)
tools out there to produce XForms documents. But have a look at this FAQ
entry:

   http://www.orbeon.com/ops/doc/home-faq#graphical-designer

So, stay tuned ;-)

Re: orbeon or xform designer

Suganda
Hi Erik

thanks for the reply,

hmm how about www.altova.com ?
is this software tools also for editor ?

about intalio, i have used this software previously ,
i already saw very "simple" x-form designer
i dont think it will help so much in terms of design x-forms properly
but i still not sure and dont know how do i combine between intalio and orbeon

suppose i already created x-forms using intalio designer
now , which files in intalio ( suppose to  be generate files right ? ) that i need to copy manually in orbeon ?
then how to make some x-path function such as controlling which field that is mandatory using intalio ?
dont have any idea about this....

do you know when the estimated time to have orbeon x-forms designer ?
because we will use orbeon to do some project as soon as possible :)

thanks,
suganda:)

This is probably a good XML editor, but I don't think it has any XForms
capabilities.

Well, our schedule rarely turn out to be exactly like we expect, but we
would like to have an alpha by the end of the year.
