orbeon itext version

Hello, the itext version used by orbeon is very old, how hard is it to update this?

It's not necessarily hard to update, in fact it's probably pretty easy.

The main issue is that newer versions of iText use a different license
(the AGPL) which is not as free as the LGPL. In our understanding this
means that in many cases users would be expected to acquire an iText
license. This probably means that, unless/until we can find an
agreement with the iText people, we are not comfortable shipping a
newer version of iText by default.

In the meanwhile you might be able yourself to just switch to a newer
version of iText and make sure you either comply with the AGPL or have
a license.
