orbeon error

sarah.wojtaszak

Hi

I am receiving the error 'URL generator found nil URL for config' in the Orbeon
error dialog.  This occurs when filling in a large xform, hitting the 'next'
button.  The red "Loading" message appears and remains on the screen for a
period of time before the error is thrown.  The error didn't occur in our test
environment and has only appeared during a round of external usability testing.

What does this error mean? And how do I go about fixing it?

Thanks for any help.
Sarah.

Sarah,

This is very hard to say, especially since you get this in one
evironment and not another one. Are you able to create a reproducible
test case that you can share with us on the list and that shows the
problem?

Hi Alex

Thanks for the response.

The only changing factors are in the client PC's environment. Our tests of the same server environment have not shown this error. This error has only occurred in a remote environment (a rural farm in fact). We can only guess that the problem is occuring due to latency with the remote site, and most likely due to ajax requests (since the red Loading message appears). If we were able to reproduce the problem then we would have some insight into its cause, but unfortunately we can't.
