i18n and fr:datatable

thomas.broussard
Hi All,

I would like to know if there is a way to put localized (i18ned) labels for the built-in labels.
Default are :
- "prev", "next", "last", "first" for pagination
- "click to sort ascending", "click to sort descending" for sorting
- and so on ...

I would like to know it is possible to change these with values found in an instance (loaded from a language xml file).
I know I could modify the xslt transformation in datatable.xsl, but as transformations cannot evaluate xpath before they run, I cannot put my localized labels dynamically accordingly to the user's language.

I'm running orbeon 3.8 and this could be a reason enough to upgrade to 3.9, if there is an improvement in that version.

Sorry if this has already been discussed (if this is the case, please give me the link of that discussion).

Thanks a lot,

Regards,

Thomas,

Unfortunately, the labels are still in English only at this time. It'd
be definitely good to localize them, but that's not planned for 4.0 at
this time (there is simply too much to do!).

Hi Erik,

Ok that's understandable, you've done a great soft with Orbeon, and it's like you are improving it each day.
I'll wait for that localization trick, and maybe it will come in the further versions of Orbeon.

Do you think it is conceivable to perform this customization myself?

Thanks for your reply anyway,

Kind regards,

Thomas.
