compatability issue with xforms upload

Prameela R

Hello,

I tried to implement the upload with xforms upload .Below is the example for upload.

http://www.orbeon.com/ops/xforms-upload/

It worked well in mozilla. When I verified it in IE,

àSelect a browse button and select a file to upload

àNow double click on the textbox which is before browse button

àThen do type .You will observe the typed letters on the page.

àIf the curser is at any position in the page and then clicking backspace deletes all the controls before the curser.

It works same even with the above orbeon example in IE browser.

Prameela,

I was able to reproduce this one, and added a bug with an attached
screenshot, for tracking:

http://forge.objectweb.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=312457&group_id=168&atid=350207

We've seen quite a few bugs in IE, but this one is pretty amazing!
This is very much a corner case and we are unlikely to fix it soon
unless one of our clients needs it. If you'd like to work on this
yourself, I think one approach is to do what Gmail does with the
upload field for IE: they hide the field once the file is selected and
show the file name in a span.

If you want to explore this route, let us know if you need help on
this, and of course if you have a fix, we'd be glad to take it as a
contribution and include it in Orbeon Forms ;).
