[admin] Subscribe the mailing lists to Gmane

Florent Georges
  Hi

This is not a question about OPS, but about the mailing
list itself.  I wonder if you'd want to add the users and
xpl lists to Gmane <http://gmane.org/>.  Gmane is a gateway
between email and NNTP (Usenet).  That'd permit to read and
post to the list with Usenet clients instead of email clients
(more suited to discussions IMHO).

A lot of mailing lists are mirrored there (XML Dev, FOP,
Mulberry Tech. XSL List, etcetera).  The forms is there:

    http://gmane.org/subscribe.php

  I'd suggest the following groups:

    gmane.text.xml.ops.users
    gmane.text.xml.ops.xpl

If you want, I can make the subscribtion for you.  Using
my Usenet client would save me a lot of time, instead of
using my MUA.

  Regards,

Florent,

No problem, go ahead!

But don't include gmane.text.xml.ops.xpl, which was the list we used
briefly to discuss the XPL submission we did at W3C:

   http://www.w3.org/Submission/2005/SUBM-xpl-20050411/

Since then, work on XML pipelines has been taken over by the W3C XML
Processing Model working group, of which Orbeon is a member. You can
follow the ongoing work, which is almost entirely public, here:

   http://www.w3.org/XML/Processing/

So we will remove that list as well.

But definitely go ahead with ops-users!
