Hello, I’ve been banging my head against the wall for
two days, trying to make my webapp work with orbeon 3.6 war, using firefox 3.0
before I see the disclaimer on the front page… Shame on me J So my concern is about, as orbeon is nearing its 3.7
version, if separate deployment will still be possible. This feature is a big hope for me, as I’ll be
able to include xforms in any app, on any common browser! But I see that the rewrite URL bug is still open, and
the nightly build downloaded tonight still has it. So if someone could reassure me and tell me if this
bug isn’t a dead-end, I will try to develop my current app using IE,
instead of totally dropping orbeon, which would be a real pain! Thanks in advance and sorry for the bbad
english Regards, Alban MAILLERE -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. To unsubscribe: mailto:[hidden email] For general help: mailto:[hidden email]?subject=help OW2 mailing lists service home page: http://www.ow2.org/wws |

Alban,
Yes this bug has been open for a long time, but we still plan to fix it before 3.7 final (maybe not before 3.7 beta 2 though). -Erik On Jan 28, 2009, at 10:46 AM, MAILLERE Alban wrote: > Hello, > > I’ve been banging my head against the wall for two days, trying to > make my webapp work with orbeon 3.6 war, using firefox 3.0 before I > see the disclaimer on the front page… > Shame on me J > So my concern is about, as orbeon is nearing its 3.7 version, if > separate deployment will still be possible. > This feature is a big hope for me, as I’ll be able to include xforms > in any app, on any common browser! > But I see that the rewrite URL bug is still open, and the nightly > build downloaded tonight still has it. > > So if someone could reassure me and tell me if this bug isn’t a dead- > end, I will try to develop my current app using IE, instead of > totally dropping orbeon, which would be a real pain! > > Thanks in advance and sorry for the bbad english > Regards, > > Alban MAILLERE > > > > -- > You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] > mailing list. > To unsubscribe: mailto:[hidden email] > For general help: mailto:[hidden email]?subject=help > OW2 mailing lists service home page: http://www.ow2.org/wws Orbeon Forms - Web Forms for the Enterprise Done the Right Way http://www.orbeon.com/ -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. Erik,
Many thanks for your response: at least I can continue this project :) For my mental health I'd like to work with Firefox (for firebug and all this dev stuff) Do you remind what the problem was with it? Is there any possible walk around (? like updating some js or something)... And, ho, if the beta2 release is tonight, please ignore this message ;) Regards, Alban -----Message d'origine----- De : Erik Bruchez [mailto:[hidden email]] Envoyé : mercredi 28 janvier 2009 23:33 À : [hidden email] Objet : [ops-users] Re: Will orbeon 3.7 still support separate deployment? Alban,
I think we all work with Firefox or Safari, and then try stuff out with IE and cry. Issue was Firefox fixed a bug related to the DOM and namespaces. When bug got fixed, some of our JS code which was not namespace-aware broke. Not sure exactly where in xforms.js anymore. -Erik On Jan 29, 2009, at 2:15 AM, MAILLERE Alban wrote: > Erik, > > Many thanks for your response: at least I can continue this project :) > For my mental health I'd like to work with Firefox (for firebug and > all this dev stuff) > Do you remind what the problem was with it? > Is there any possible walk around (? like updating some js or > something)... > > And, ho, if the beta2 release is tonight, please ignore this > message ;) > > Regards, > > Alban > > > -----Message d'origine----- > De : Erik Bruchez [mailto:[hidden email]] > Envoyé : mercredi 28 janvier 2009 23:33 > À : [hidden email] > Objet : [ops-users] Re: Will orbeon 3.7 still support separate > deployment? > > Alban, > > Yes this bug has been open for a long time, but we still plan to fix > it before 3.7 final (maybe not before 3.7 beta 2 though). > > -Erik > > On Jan 28, 2009, at 10:46 AM, MAILLERE Alban wrote: > >> Hello, >> >> I've been banging my head against the wall for two days, trying to >> make my webapp work with orbeon 3.6 war, using firefox 3.0 before I >> see the disclaimer on the front page... >> Shame on me J >> So my concern is about, as orbeon is nearing its 3.7 version, if >> separate deployment will still be possible. >> This feature is a big hope for me, as I'll be able to include xforms >> in any app, on any common browser! >> But I see that the rewrite URL bug is still open, and the nightly >> build downloaded tonight still has it. >> >> So if someone could reassure me and tell me if this bug isn't a dead- >> end, I will try to develop my current app using IE, instead of >> totally dropping orbeon, which would be a real pain! >> >> Thanks in advance and sorry for the bbad english >> Regards, >> >> Alban MAILLERE >> >> >> >> -- >> You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] >> mailing list. >> To unsubscribe: mailto:[hidden email] >> For general help: mailto:[hidden email]?subject=help >> OW2 mailing lists service home page: http://www.ow2.org/wws > > -- > Orbeon Forms - Web Forms for the Enterprise Done the Right Way > http://www.orbeon.com/ > > > -- > You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] > mailing list.
