I am new to Xforms and Xforms processors. I am trying to get a working
demo of orbeon on my server. Orbeon fits perfectly into my application; I was trying to deploy the war as specified by your instructions in your Installation document. The deployment was successful but on accessing the url, I was getting following message on the page From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response. Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection. I got the following warning on weblogic console <Mar 24, 2008 1:53:48 PM EDT> <Warning> <J2EE Deployment SPI> <BEA-260128> <Chan ges not allowed to DTD based descriptors. The attempt to modify property 'ServletName' in WEB-INF/weblogic.xml for module 'ops' will be vetoed if possible. The Change will not be persisted in either case> I need help regarding deployment. Only a working demo version would get me closer to integration of orbeon with my application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Could you try again using a nightly build (http://forge.objectweb.org/nightlybuilds/ops/ops/orbeon.war ) and by following the steps you find here under "To deploy a web application (war file)". http://avernet.blogspot.com/2008/02/installing-bea-weblogic-on-mac-os-x.html Then if you still get a 503, see if you can find any useful information about what happened in the two log files I mention in that blog entry (examplesServer.log and orbeon.log).
