Hi,
Enclosed is a sample page which illustrates the problem: I have put it through the XForms sandbox on the OPS site and get exactly the same error message as on my local installation, which is: Unable to retrieve XForms engine state. oxf:/ops/xforms/xforms-server-submit.xpl 55 43 executing processor (name='{http://www.orbeon.com/oxf/processors}xforms-server') <p:processor name="oxf:xforms-server">...</p:processor> Any ideas? Matthew,
I asked this question on the list and I'll copy Erik's response to me that he gave on December 12. I hope it is helpful: his occurs when you have the "oxf.xforms.state-handling" property set to "session" in properties.xml and you restart Tomcat. Either: o Use "client" instead of "session" or o Force a page reload (ctrl-shift-R with Firefox, ctrol-F5 with IE) on your page after restarting Tomcat. You have to make sure you don't do this on a page that is the result of a POST, or it won't work. Hi,
I just tried changing the oxf.xforms.state-handling property from "session" to "client" and restarting Tomcat. Hi,
No, I'm afraid that this has not done the trick either. I cleared the cache, stopped and restarted Tomcat, killed and restarted Firefox: same problem persists - unable to retrieve XForms engine state. If you have this in your properties.xml:

Hi,
I'm afraid that this just results in the "Null input buffer" error message again. I'm enclosing the test page again which generates this so the problem is easily reproducible. The page-flow entry for this is simply: <page id="test" path-info="/test" view="test.xhtml"/> The problem in both cases (with oxf.xforms.state-handling value="client" or value="session") is reported as: oxf:/ops/xforms/xforms-server-submit.xpl 55 43 executing processor (name='{http://www.orbeon.com/oxf/processors}xforms-server') <p:processor name="oxf:xforms-server">...</p:processor> so I'm curious what's so different in my xhtml that's causing this problem? Hi,
I've tracked down the source of the problem: in the body of the html there is a div section into which is loaded another xhtml page. Unfortunately having a second <html><head>...</head><body>...</body> in the page is causing the error - removing these tags and having just the contents of the body of the second page makes everything OK. Cheers, Matthew Erik Bruchez wrote: > FYI I can reproduce the issue, but I haven't concluded anything yet. > > -Erik > > Matthew Graham wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> I'm afraid that adding the submissions in the page to the page-flow >> makes no difference whatsoever. >> >> Cheers, >> >> Matthew >> >> Ryan Puddephatt wrote: >> >>> Matthew, >>> I've tried the xhtml file you sent, and it produces the error, but >>> all the submissions in the page are not in the page-flow.
