TinyMCE in Chrome

Dan Kereliuk
We just upgraded to Orbeon 4.0 from 3.9, and would like to use the new TinyMCE HTML editor. It works perfectly fine in Firefox, but it's a bit glitchy in Chrome. While typing, the cursor will often reset its position back to the top of the textarea. This happens mainly on pushing enter (ie. inserting a line break). We're using Chrome 12.0.742.112 and Orbeon 4.0 CE.

On another note, we're also experiencing the following issue after upgrading and would like to put in another vote for this to be looked at at some point too:
https://github.com/orbeon/orbeon-forms/issues/330

Thanks

Hi Dan,

Can you reproduce the cursor being reset with the example linked below, or do you need to have something special for that to happen?

And about that datatable issue you linked to, unfortunately, we are unlikely to work on that in the short term, and we're considering to deprecate the datatable.

Yep, I can reproduce the problem easily in the example you've linked too. Just type something and then press enter for a line break.

As for the datatable issue, I've worked around it for now by using an xf:switch instead, and I'll keep in mind that datatable may eventually deprecated. Thanks for letting me know.

I just tried updating my version of Chrome, and now the problem is gone. It seems the problem only occurred in that older version of Chrome. Sorry, I guess I should have tried that sooner.

Hi Dan,

I am also using Chrome. Could you try with the 4.1, just released yesterday, in case we fixed this issue since then? (I don't remember fixing this, or see something quickly looking at the checkins or closed issues, but I might just be missing it.)
