Submit multiple instances?

I've been wondering for a while if it's possible to submit multiple instances, or an entire model in a single xforms:submission. Right now the only solution I can think of is to concatenate all the data I want to submit into a spare instance and submit that. Am I on the right path here?

Matt,

You could also submit each instance one by one storing them in session variables and then access them in the last submit by pulling them back out of the session
