Server side XForms scalability

aru.arunasalam
Would appreciate if someone could let me know what throughput we can achieve using the Presentation Server - say for a sales-order processing system.  That is, if we installed the Presentation Server on a single CPU p4 3GHz, 2GByte Windows based Application Server, how many concurrent sessions can we have and how many transactions can be processed?

Thanks very much.

Re: Server side XForms scalability

Henrik Pettersen
Aru, all,

that depends on the application, no? In particular, Orbeon Forms has an efficient cache, and your particular application would probably decide how much you could get out of that (Correct me if I am wrong here, guys...).

However, it would be interesting with a benchmark application/setup, tweaked for performance, with some performance statistics. Pet Store, perhaps? Or perhaps someone could try to loadtest the DMV Forms example and post some stats?

Just my 2 cents.

Henrik

We don't have numbers on this at present. The best thing to do for you
is probably to invest in a prototype and get your own numbers.
