Separate portlet deploy - exclamation.png not showing for validation alerts

Stian Sigvartsen
Separate portlet deploy - exclamation.png not showing for validation alerts

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a known issue with exclamation.png not being available for <xforms:alert>?

I've set up some binds with required="true()" and when I leave the input boxes using these binds with no input and lose the focus, nothing changes visually. However, if I hover the mouse slightly to the right of the input box I get a tool tip which displays the alert's message.

Upon inspection it appears that a HTTP request is being made for this image, but it's not going through the OrbeonPortletXFormsFilter, instead looking for the image within my separately deployed webapp.

In contrast, the <xforms:help> works fine with an image displayed.
This image is being served through the OrbeonPortletXFormsFilter which is set up to filter <lifecycle>RESOURCE_PHASE</lifecycle>

I'm using a nightly build of Orbeon from 30/09/2010 and Liferay CE v6.0.5 .
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just a simple "no alerts exclamation marks display fine for me".

-Stian

Separate portlet deploy - exclamation.png not showing for validation alerts

Hi,

I have two nodes ‘endDate’ and ‘startDate’ within the nodeset ‘prescriptions’. Also I have an xforms:repeat control over the ‘prescriptions’ nodeset.

I want to ensure that “endDate >= startDate”. Both ‘endDate’ and ‘startDate’ are of type xs:date in the schema definition. I have used the following bind control.

<xforms:bind nodeset="/patientRecords/patient/visits/prescriptions/endDate"

     constraint="/patientRecords/patient/visits/prescriptions/endDate >= /patientRecords/patient/visits/prescriptions/startDate" />

Now If all the repeating prescription nodesets violate this property then only the alert message is popped up. I want to implement this constraint individually on every repeating nodeset. Kindly suggest the right way to do it.

P.S. Please find attached the source code for reference.

Thanks and Regards,

Somya

Stian,

We had a similar issue which was fixed on October 10, 2010:

https://github.com/orbeon/orbeon-forms/commit/bc5768cca3d25cfd114fcaefe6f0263b5e6ba453

With luck it's the same issue. Can you try a recent build?

Hi Somya!

I would use this:
<xforms:bind nodeset="patientRecords/patient/visits/prescriptions" constraint="startDate <= endDate"/>

See attached example.

Linking to external XML Schema

Somya Rajesh Agarwal
Separate portlet deploy - exclamation.png not showing for validation alerts

Hi All,

I have built my xforms into the jsp page. Now, am trying to link it to the external schema as below.

<xforms:model schema=”/xforms-jsp/store-patient-data/NewXMLSchema.xsd”>

Both the container jsp page and the schema file are placed inside the directory “/xforms-jsp/store-patient-data/” in the orbeon directory structure.

However “premature end of file” error is reported when I try to load the jsp page. How shall I link the external schema?

Thanks and Regards,

Somya

Somya,

I tried this and it seems to work for me, e.g.:

<xforms:model schema="/xforms-jsp/schema.xsd">

The "premature end of file" error definitely occurs when the file cannot be read.

Do you see the full URL logged in the error page?

Both the container jsp page and the schema file are placed inside the directory “/xforms-jsp/store-patient-data/” in the orbeon directory structure.

However “premature end of file” error is reported when I try to load the jsp page. How shall I link the external schema?

Not sure what's going on. Try putting the schema in a location that does not go through the XForms filter. In your case, outside of /xforms-jsp.
