SQL Processor and the AddressBook example

Hi
The Orbeon reference mentions the SQL processor in Section 4.10. Does the SQL Address Book example utilize the SQL Processor?
My understanding is: if I want any of my XForm controls talking to a database, the SQL processor is to be used.
