Regarding deployment of Orbeon

Hi,

Can you tell me if it's possible to run Orbeon Form editor on a server and Form runner on a another server?
This means can Orbeon be split as to separately instance?

Yes, it's rather straightforward: if you configure the persistence
layers of both servers to use the same database it's not a problem to
run Form Builder on one server and run the forms on another one.

Thanks for your answer.. I have already studied the link.
But I can see that I haven't clearly stated my question.
What I want to know is, instead of deploying the war file which incl. the editor and runner on two different server and configure Persistence layer to the same DB, whether it is possible to remove the source part for form editor and just install the form runner and vice versa.

Hi

Form Builder is a Form Runner application, so you need FR to run FB (your vice-versa scenario).

In my deployment I have removed the FB code from the production server and use a separate eXist DB.

I use FB on my development server to construct the Form definition and then use eXist tools to deploy the form into the correct area on the production server (see link).
