Documentation is a little lacking for tabs, tree and menu, but you can have a look at examples:

I am not sure I understand your question: "how can I achieve this effect"? Which effect are you talking about?

       I saw that frame and frameset are not supported in xhtml 1.0 strict and transitional. iframe is not supported in strict. If I use strict specification how can I achieve this effect. Is there any mechanism to achieve such for menu navigation, or need to have menu in each xhtml page.
