Hi Alex, is it possible to have a different template used when entering data than when it is emailed as a PDF?

Rodney,

Currently Form Runner only supports one PDF template within a given form.

Thanx for your help so far Erik, we need to change the current template so that an order form that we are working on does not use as much space and prints out on one page.  We are using IPADs for the data entry (over GSM) and want to be able to reduce the size of the PDF that gets generated so that it fits on one page vs the two pages that It now takes (the second page only has about 4 or 5 lines on it).

It does not appear (at least that I have seen) that this was answered.  I will open it up to anyone that might know:  Thanx in advance for any help.

Rod,

Are you talking about 1) PDF templates (which you upload to Form
Builder), or 2) automatically-generated PDF files?

I assume #2, as for #1, there is no default template: you have to
upload a template.

#2 uses the Flying Saucer library. The layout is entirely configurable
by CSS. We just put some doc on this on the wiki:

http://wiki.orbeon.com/forms/doc/user-guide/form-runner-user-guide#TOC-Configuring-the-presentation-of-aut

Please let us know if this helps.

Hi Erik, yes it is actually #2, I have looked at the example but have no idea how to implement.  Are there any examples of this?

Hi Erik, I think I am close to figuring it out but when I put the property in my local-properties.xml file it errors on the following:

/ops/css/yui/reset-fonts-grids.css

There does not appear to be an ops folder in resources folder.  Do I have to extract one of the jar files?

Even though you don't see it, the ops directory is within one of the
Orbeon JAR files.

I provided an out of date value. The default is:

<property as="xs:string"  name="oxf.fr.css.uri.*.*"
  value="/ops/yui/reset-fonts-grids/reset-fonts-grids.css
         /apps/fr/style/form-runner-base.css
         /apps/fr/style/form-runner-orbeon.css"/>
