RE: Select1 and repeat

Alan Skorkin
RE: [ops-users] Select1 and repeat

Hi,

I seem to be getting a similar error to this,

I am using version 3.0.1 stable.

Once again I have a 'select' control with an itemset, inside a repeat control.
Whenever I press the button to insert a row, a row gets inserted but with weird labels, and is unable to pick up the itemset data.

After that the xforms engine dies and I can't insert any more rows. It seems like it's almost exactly the same problem as described below.

I ran a test file through the sandbox (attached) and it seems to reproduce the problem.

So is the bug back or is my file somehow incorrect?

Marc,

This bug is fixed now. You can see if it works for you by getting a new "unstable build":

Hi Alan,

I think this bug has been fixed since the latest release. At least I
have been unable to reproduce it in the sandbox with the file you have
attached. Before you upgrade, try it for yourself in the online
sandbox which runs now a fairly recent unstable build:

URL Generator

alhaziz
Hi everyone,

I have the following question, which maybe bothers
you too. The URL generator typically consists from
physical URL and some settings, like cache control,
document type, etc. The physical URL does not do the
job needed by me, look:
   1. If you point the <url> to a file called, for
example, someservlet.jsp, all is ok, OPS finds it and
loads it, executes it.
   2. With a link like this:
http://www.google.com?q=some_text_to_search, all is ok
this time too.
   3. Bug: if you point the <url> to
someservlet.jsp?param1=value1&param2=value2, it tells
that could not load it with webapp loader.

Some ideas? I am integrating OPS within my
application, which is full of functionality, and the
binding can be done only via JSP servlets.

Thanks in advance, Al.Haziz.

Re: URL Generator

Hank Ratzesberger

In the source code, is your url parsed?

someservlet.jsp?param1=value1&amp;param2=value2

I vaguely recall some issues with passing around
unparsed URL's.

Cheers,

Do you actually use an absolute URL, like:

  http://localhost:8080/context/someservlet.jsp?param1=value1

How do you configure your URL generator? Please provide an actual example.

Re: Switch case that allows display on page load and xforms-submit-done

Brian Bacsu

I am trying to implement an <xforms:switch> with a case that will allow for the content to be displayed both on initial page load, as well as after the xforms-submit-done event, but will display a "loading" image otherwise. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian Bacsu

Brian,

You can make this case the default case. This way it will be displayed
when the page is initially loaded. Then you can have a <xforms:toggle
case="your-case" ev:event="xforms-submit-done"/>. This will take care
of showing the case when a successful submission occurs. But when
don't you want this case to be displayed?

How do you declare a default case?

<xforms:case selected="true">

The first <xforms:case> element with a selected attribute set to true
will be the case displayed upon initialization. Otherwise the first case
is selected by default.
