(in here the Time Series Chart shows many examples where the labelling of the X axis is not linked with the values of the series).

But the option is there in JFreeChart ... somewhere.

The first thing to figure out would be whether JFreeChart supports this.
If so, then is there a special configuration for JFreeChart to get
there, and if not then it probably means that we need to upgrade the
chart processor ;-)
