Erik:
I have deployed several versions of the Orbeon server within a common version of Tomcat (Mac OS X 10.5). Each has its own exist XML DB. What is the recommended method for migrating Form Builder defined forms and associated data from one version of Orbeon to the next? The general question seems to be: how best to copy all the data from one an eXist collection to another eXist collection, possibly being on two different servers. I wonder what's the eXist guy's take on this. You could try to ask on the exist-open mailing-list? We could also probably write a tool in XForms or XPL to do this in Orbeon Forms, but currently we don't have it! -Erik -- Orbeon Forms - Web Forms for the Enterprise Done the Right Way http://www.orbeon.com/ -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. Erik:
Thanks for the reply. I will ask in the eXist forum. A tool to manage the migration of forms and associated collection would be very useful. Currently, it is easy enough to migrate the forms by literally copying and pasting an existing form source code into a new form in the updated Orbeon version and then "apply". Not a great long term method.
If the eXist guys have a better method in place I will pass it on.
