Greetings,
The blog mentioned work on a persistent store for the xforms state that uses the embedded eXist db : http://www.orbeon.com/blog/2007/10/29/a-disk-based-xforms-state-store- for-orbeon-forms/ I know I will find this out as soon as I upgrade, but I wonder if this affects things if you deploy eXist separately and alongside Orbeon Forms. http://mydomain.com/ - handled by Orbeon http://mydomain.com/exist/rest/db - handled by exist also if Apache is a front end, and proxying: RewriteRule ^/exist/rest/db(.*) http://db.mydomain.com/exist/rest/ db$1 [P] I'll be back from a trip in a week to give it a try. Hank Ratzesberger NEES@UCSB Institute for Crustal Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara P.S. I will be working with some seismologists to create a 3D model of canyon that has been filled in with processed human waste, but we call it fun with science. -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. They should remain independent. > also if Apache is a front end, and proxying: > > RewriteRule ^/exist/rest/db(.*) > http://db.mydomain.com/exist/rest/db$1 [P] This shouldn't be an issue either, because Orbeon accesses eXist in embedded mode for the purpose of XForms state management. This means that the communication doesn't go through HTTP. > I'll be back from a trip in a week to give it a try. Cool, please let us know if things run fine or not. > P.S.
