My Eclipse Orbeon plugin is older than 2.8. When I try to
update using Eclipse, I don’t get anything for 3.0. Where can I find the
download for the current Orbeon Studio? Most links I find take me to http://www.orbeon.com/software/get-started,
but there isn’t anything here about Studio separate from the ops
download. Everything I find on the Eclipse plugin site seems old. Thanks, Don -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [hidden email] mailing list. Hi Don, In Eclipse, under Help / Software Updates / Find and Install, choose "Search for new feature to install", and add a new remote site with the URL below. This will get you the latest version of the Studio plugin. It is incorrectly labeled "unstable", but this is latest stable version of Studio. http://forge.objectweb.org/nightlybuilds/ops/studio/site.xml > Most links I find take me to > http://www.orbeon.com/software/get-started, but there isn't > anything here about Studio separate from the ops download. Everything I find > on the Eclipse plugin site seems old. Good point. The latest release of Studio is from the end of last year, and at this point we are focusing all our efforts on PresentationServer and we are not actively developing Studio. If there is anyone here that would like to take over the development of Studio, please stand up! Well, that's a whole roadmap we are talking about here, and currently
I don't think we have a well-defined roadmap for Studio. There is one obvious thing to do: making a build of Studio which bundles the latest OPS 3.0.1. Some documentation probably wouldn't hurt. And there are a few known bugs. Then, we should keep looking at what other people are doing, in particular in the Web Tools Project (WTP), that could be useful for OPS developers, in particular in the realm of XML editors, XML schema editors, and graphical flow editors (which could be used for XPL). The idea of studio probably remains to provide a set of Eclipse-based tools fit for the OPS developer, whether we develop these tools ourselves or not, with a preference for simply bundling existing tools whenever possible. -Erik Richard Braman wrote: > Why don't to tell us wha the development of Studio involves.
