Orbeon Questions

Wendy Tchoursine

Hi,

I am new to using Orbeon xforms.  So I am sorry, if these questions seem simple.

Is there a way in Orbeon to capture global events that happen on an xform?  Such as wanting to ensure that a user is actively using it?

Is there a way to query OPS for active sessions or forms or would we have to program within OPS to get this information externally?

Thanks for the help.

We don't have such built-in functionality at the moment. A few questions:

* How do you define "actively using"? Do you mean that if, say, 10
minutes have elapsed after the last keystroke or mouse click, the form
would be considered not in use?

* What would you do if the user is not using the form?

You can track HTTP session expiration with some Java code, for sure. But
that may or may not cover your use case.
