OPS roadmap

Marcelo Bello
Where can I find a roadmap for OPS? (with expected release dates and new features)
When is the next release due?

Also, is anyone working on Orbeon Studio?

I am specially interested in the new documentation, new examples and the "lower entry barrier" promised a while ago.

Regards,

Marcelo

Re: OPS roadmap

Marcelo,

We gather some of our ideas in the ObjectWeb wiki:

   http://wiki.objectweb.org/ops/Wiki.jsp?page=Main

Here we have a series of "projects", and one of them is OPS 3.1 (the
tentative version number for the next stable release). You will find
some high-level ideas related to that release there.

At the moment, I don't think anybody is working on Orbeon Studio.
Further tools, such as the "XForms Monitor" we would like to build, are
likely to be web-based. It would be great to produce a build of Studio
in sync with 3.1 though.

We don't have a release date for 3.1 yet, but we *hope* this will happen
sometime during the summer (i.e. before the end of August). We are as we
speak in the process of (re)setting the priorities, defining a more
precise internal timeline, and (re)prioritizing the bugs:

   http://forge.objectweb.org/tracker/?atid=350207&group_id=168&func=browse

Note that we have limited resources, and that the code is out there in
the CVS, so any external help is welcome ;-)
