Noob: Install Issues

I'm at XML 2007 right now, and after seeing Erik's demo at XForms evening
I installed the latest stable versions of Orbeon and eXist on my MacBook.
I'm running them inside Tomcat 5.5.25.

I haven't been able to get the eXist Sandbox to return any results for me
when I input sample XQuery from the eXist XQuery sandbox. I'm new to
XQuery, so first I thought I was missing something obvious. Then I kept
thinking that the problem was in the /db/* path. Finally I took a look at
the XSLT Sandbox, and it's not returning the transformation on load. It
could still be me, but I'm starting to suspect the Orbeon installation.

I notice that on the Orbeon site, the eXist Sandbox flashes a little AJAXy
"Loading" flag as the fields change, but on my installation that only
happens when I click "send", then never again until I shift-reload and
click "send" again. I'm not seeing any JavaScript errors, but it makes me
wonder if there's a .js library not loading or something.

Any ideas? (I'll be keeping my eyes open for Erik just in case I can
corner him in the hallway, but posting to the list is probably more
polite.)

Brook,

To test Orbeon Forms you just have to copy orbeon.war from
http://forge.objectweb.org/nightlybuilds/ops/ops/ in your tomcat webapps
directory.
The url : http://localhost/orbeon load the index page.

Orbeon Forms have his own eXist app embeded. So you don't need to
install exist.

You need to update to 3.6. If you are worried about stability, leave 3.5 installed and just put 3.6 next to it. You can then use 3.6 for development but revert to 3.5 if you find a big bug.
