Nightly build

Badrulhisham Bahadzor
Just a simple question. To frequently upgrade the nightly build, can I just unzip orbeon.war over the previous directory ? Will all my data in exist be written over too ?

regards,
Badrul

Hi Badrul,

Do not override  new zip over old one ,because   in nightly built some of the jar's might  be deleted or moved to other folder.

Better take your own application files backup and deploy the new war and place your files again.

When you overwiter it will replaced the modified jars but it will not delete the unwanted files /jars .

Just to be sure, I would rather do it the other way around: store your
files in a directory "src", unzip the nightly build in a directory
"build" and copy over (or better create links) from your files in src
to the appropriate location in build. Then you can automate this in a
script.
