Javascript error in IE

Jean Luc-2
Hi Erik,

I've just upgraded from 3.6 final to 3.6.0.200712202109 and IE displays an error now ("A Runtime error has occurred. Line: 5. Expected  ':') every time an XForm is loaded. It occurs with IE SP2 (and all the current patches). It does not occur with Firefox 2.0. I don't have IE7 handy to try it with it.

The line number is the same (5), no matter what the value of oxf.xforms.minimal-resources is.

I see src/resources-packaged/ops/javascript/xforms.js has changed (and no other JS). Unfortunately, given the pathetic state of debugging Javascript on IE, I can't pinpoint you to the exact line, but this should hopefully be good enough to find the cause. I opened resources-packaged\ops\javascript\xforms.js in Idea and it's parsed ok, so it may be an IE quirk. It is repeatable though: 3.6 final, no error. Current build: error.

Thanks,
JL

Jean-Luc,

Do you still get this error with recent builds?
