Is it possible to disable EXiST

I tried to remove servlet declaration from web.xml but is seems than it's still loaded on the first view of a form.... How can I disable Exist coz I'm not using it ?
Can you also tell me which library in lib directory I can safely remove ?

OF uses eXist to store the XForms state. I don't think there
is a way to disable it.

There are some libraries that are not required, such as charts
and pdf libraries.  Off the top, I don't know, or if it there
is a list.
