Integrating with Alfresco ECM

Lee Faus
Hello All,

I work for Alfresco (www.alfresco.com) and I am looking to build a demo that uses Orbeon.  Here is what I was thinking:

1) Use the Form Builder to create a Patient Action Plan (Used by US State Dept. Health and Human Services)
2) Save the Form so it can be instantiated in Form Runner
3) Show features like Autocomplete/Validation basic XForm stuff
4) On Save, I plan to call an Alfresco Webscript (REST interface) to save the Form to a Space (Folder) in Alfresco
5) Also on Save, I plan to create a PDF (from Orbeon) that is Stored in a different Space (Folder) that will kick off a jBPM workflow (approve, reject, todo)
6) The user can initiate editing of the form from a WebDAV repository

If this can be shown to work out of the box, we may want to work more closely with Orbeon about integrating directly into our product.  Is Orbean cabable of doing this?  Has anyone done this already and I can get some direction from them.

There is no response to this e-mail in the Orbeon archives. I'm sure that means the discussion between Orbeon and Alfresco has gone private.

All,

I attach an XForms model which we wrote a few months ago to prototype
calling Alfresco web services to submit data. Since this was done a
while ago and fairly quickly, I cannot say that it is ideal, but it
may be a start. Code is under a dual license (LGPL or Swiss GPL/CSI)
with agreement of our client.
