Hi!
For some reason IE8 displays a black screen instead of semi transparent shading, when submitting a form. For example, open the demo form in IE8 and after filling it, save it. During the operation the screen is black. Do not use the IE7 compatibility mode. Have you any idea, how to fix this issue? Harri,
Do you have this on a "real" Windows machine, or just on VirtualBox (or similar)? The user agent in this screenshot is "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E)". IE8 seems to have problems with CSS opacity settings. Harri On 02.03.2010 00:37 Alessandro Vernet wrote: Harri, Do you have this on a "real" Windows machine, or just on VirtualBox (or similar)? Harri,
Understood; I was not aware of that issue. We are using a YUI modal dialog for this, and it looks the YUI modal dialog works properly in YUI 2.8.0 (see: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/container/panel-loading.html). So I think you have a few choices: * Adding a meta tag to tell IE8 to run in IE7 compatibility mode, until this is resolved. * Find how this was fixed in YUI, and override the existing YUI 2.6.0 style by what they have in YUI 2.8.0. * Upgrade the current YUI 2.6.0 to 2.8.0 in Orbeon. This is not done in 5 minutes, but does not require a PhD either. See: http://wiki.orbeon.com/forms/doc/contributor-guide/yahoo-ui-library-yui In the meantime, I also created a bug to track this: http://forge.ow2.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=314783&group_id=168&atid=350207 You'll let us know if you get a chance to make some progress on this.
